Sample Itinerary: A 5-Day Journey through Manali's Splendors and Adventures

Your Personalized Manali Itinerary from The Wanderers


Duration: 5 days/ 4 nights

Ideal Season: Summers and Winters

Cost: 10000-15000 Rupees


Day 0: Your Journey Begins!


Make sure you have packed all the necessities for your trip and some warm clothes for Manali's weather. Booking in advance for your buses, trains, hotels/ hostels etc. would help you a lot.

  • Reach Delhi/ Chandigarh's bus station

  • Enjoy the bus ride and have food at some dhaba

  • Bus ride continues overnight

Day 1: Too Many Attractions!


  • Reach Manali in the morning and head to your hotel stay

  • After checking in, relaxing and having some breakfast you can head to Hidimba Devi Temple near Old Manali. Hidimba Devi Temple is a major attraction of Manali as the old temple links to the Mahabharata's characters.

  • Visit Manali Bridge which connects Manali with Old Manali. Here, you will find cafes and options to zipline alongside river Beas

  • Visit Manu temple which is situated in Old Manali itself. The view is amazing from the temple.

  • Head back to your stay, relax and chill!

Day 2: Trek and Relax!


  • Start your journey for Day 2 with a trek to see the scenic Jogini waterfalls. The trek should take upto 3 to 3 and a half hours to complete.

  • Visit Vasishta Temple which is connected from the trek trail from Jogini waterfalls. Pay your respects and take a bath in the hot kund

  • If not tired yet, you get the option to visit Mall Road from here!

  • Chill in the evening (Lazy Dog Lounge in Old Manali would be a fantastic option!)

Day 3: Adventure Awaits!


  • Take a taxi and start a trip ahead of Atal Tunnel to Visit Sissu Valley, Koksar and Rohtang Valley.

  • En route to Rohtang pass, you will pass through the small village of Kothi, Gulaba Viewpoint, Rahala Waterfalls and a shanty town of Marhi with roadside restaurants. In Rohtang Pass you will find snow, enjoy!

  • You get the options to pursue paragliding, ATV bike riding, skiing, zip-lining, and many more.

  • Visit Sissu and Koksar.

  • Head back to your stay, chill or relax!

Day 4: Mountains Roads and Trails Are Calling You!


  • Visit Solang Valley where you get the options of skiing, paragliding and ziplining

  • Rent a two-wheeler/ taxi to reach Solang from Manali

  • You can enjoy another day trek called the Bijli Mahadev Trek, which has a famous temple called Bijli Mahadev at the top!

  • Visit Van Vihar situated near Hidimba Temple and Old Manali

  • Head back to your stay

Day 5: Make Memories!


  • Visit Tibetan Monasteries near Mall Road

  • Do not forget to shop from Mall Road or Old Manali markets and take back some gifts for your loved ones

  • Take the bus back to Delhi/ Chandigarh
